icloudbetadantetktk

The death of MobileMe is upon us. Apple’s new cloud services, iWork and iCloud, now have an official landing page with what can only be described as an aluminum unibody badge reminiscent of the new line of Macs. If you’re running iOS5, or OSX 10.7.2 then you’ve probably been in on this for a while, but if you’re not one of those lucky few then you can always hit up the source link below and try your luck with a beta application. And if you are the type who would rather wait for an official release then all signs show to the public release of iCloud and iWork when the iPhone and iOS 5 are released, And that can’t be much longer, can it?

Kingston Wi-Drive on Sale Now

2011-07-26-widrive

The Wi-Drive from Kingston, is a pretty cool product. It comes in either 16GB ($130) or 32GB ($175) versions and, with the companion iOS app, it will let you stream your media to your devices, anywhere anytime. The Wi-Drive works by creating it’s own wireless network that you can connect to on your device. Then, once the app has had some time to scan the drive and find the files you put on the drive, it’s one touch streaming. So far the early adopters and reviewers have had little to no complaints. If you want to check it out for yourself, the Kingston Wi-Drive is available at Fry’s, J&Rs, Newegg and Amazon now.

ibooks_20100127-300x296

The iOS App Store has apparently been going through some major changes in the eBook policy department. All of the top eBook retailers’ apps have all lost their ability to access their digital store. So it looks like major bookworms who get their fix on their iOS devices may be out of luck unless they use the iBook store. And Google Books users may have found that their app has been removed from the App Store all together. Both Google and Apple have refused to comment, but we’ll keep you posted as the story unfolds.
